Integrated R&D Pilot and Scale-Up Facility for Specialty Chemicals
The facility is designed as a dynamic, integrated centre focusing on bridging the gap between innovative chemical synthesis and commercial production across diverse application domains (Agro Chemicals, Specialty Polymers, Food, Textile , Personal Care, Oils, Fats and oleochemicals).
Research & Development (R&D) Focus
R&D is centred on optimizing complex Unit Processes to ensure high yield, selectivity, and safety. This includes studying the kinetics and thermal management of Solution Polymerization and High-pressure Synthesis Reactions. For biochemical routes, R&D focuses on strain optimization and media formulation for Bio-fermentation.
We focus on the application of sophisticated process instrumentation to monitor Critical Process Parameters (CPPs) in real-time for Sulphonation and Hydrolysis reactions, ensuring robust, scalable chemical synthesis and minimizing waste.
Scale-up & Pilot Plant Operations
The Scale-up facility integrates the essential Unit Operations for efficient purification and recovery. It features a versatile Kilo Lab and Pilot Plant equipped with high-efficiency Fractional Distillation columns and specialized extraction units for purifying complex mixtures, crucial for Oils, Fats, Oleochemicals, Aroma chemicals and other value-added products.
The plant includes various solid-liquid separation equipment (Filtration, Centrifugal Separation) to handle product isolation, followed by controlled Drying (Atmospheric or Vacuum) to meet final product specifications. A dedicated Solvent Recovery unit is integrated to maximize solvent recycling, reduce operational costs, and enhance environmental sustainability. The goal is to ensure predictable and reproducible manufacturing processes before commercial transition.
